Both men and women cricket team leave for England on Thursday to play their respective games. The men’s cricket team will be playing the much-awaited game of cricket; the World Test Championship on June 16th.
Team India leaves for England
Sharing the news, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a picture in a tweet. In this picture skipper, Virat Kohli, Ishant Sharma, and Mohammed Siraj along with other senior women cricketers Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami are seen.

The players look all ready for a competitive schedule up against the English conditions. Meanwhile, this is the first time the men’s and women’s teams are traveling together.
“Off we go,” the BCCI tweeted along with the pictures.
It is said that both the teams will fly to Southampton and on arrival will go to London and undergo tests.

The much-awaited game
The men’s cricket team will spend their compulsory quarantine in Southampton, where Team India will play the World Test Championship final against New Zealand from June 18.
Meanwhile, the women’s team will play a single Test match against England in Bristol from June 16. And this will be their first Test after seven years. They will also play three ODIs and three T20Is against England after the Test match.
The women’s tour will come to an end on July 15, and fly back home on the same day. However, the men’s team will stay on for a five-Test series against England in August-September.
