Karnataka on Monday declared a two-week lockdown from Tuesday in between a troubling wave in coronavirus cases. In this lockdown, as usual, no public transport will be allowed. However, basic services like medicine, vegetables, and fruit, milk, and ration stores can operate between 6 am and 10 am. Only activities like construction, manufacturing, and agriculture sectors will be allowed to function during the period.
The curfew will begin at 9 pm tonight. During this period, only the already scheduled flights and trains will be allowed.
Metro services will remain shut during the period.
Taxis and autorickshaws will also not be allowed excluding those hired in cases of emergencies.
Hotels and restaurants will be closed; however, they can continue home deliveries.
