More than 100 bodies, suspected to be that of covid-19 patients, were found floating in the Gangas in Ghazipur. It is believed that the locals were responsible for disposing off the bodies in the river in the absence of firewood.
The locals claim that more bodies were burnt due to the rise in Covid-19 deaths in the region. As a result, people face a lack of firewood availability to cremate more bodies. With the circumstances, the District Magistrate has taken knowledge of the matter.
